This internal SATA-based SSD is 7mm high and fits in an available 2.5" drive bay, making it well suited for compact systems such as notebooks, NUCs, and SFF desktops. For performance, it comes armed with Tiered Caching technology that utilizes SLC and TLC flash technologies to enable up to sequential 545 MB/s read and 525 MB/s write speeds. Aside from performance, WD includes free downloadable WD SSD Dashboard software, so you can monitor the health of this solid-state drive.

For high-end computing applications such as gaming, HD media playback, or creative software, WD Blue solid-state drives have 545 MB/s read and 525 MB/s write speeds you need for the performance you want. Tiered caching technology utilizes SLC (single-level cell) and TLC (triple-level cell) flash technology to enable these impressive sequential read and write speeds, allowing for fast system boot up, quick application response, and rapid transfer of data.
